EzyReceipts (ezyreceipts.com) helps you scan receipts and keep tidy expense records for tax time. We take the privacy of your records seriously — this page explains, in plain English, what we collect, how we store it, and how we keep it safe. This service is operated from Australia and we aim to handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Your account details — your email address (and password), handled by our login provider, Clerk. We never see or store your password.
• Your receipts — the photos you scan and the details read from them (vendor, date, total, GST, category, notes, and the folder you file them in).
• Payment details (Pro plan only) — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We only know whether your subscription is active.
• Basic usage — a count of how many scans you do each month, used to keep the service running fairly.

How your data is stored and protected

• All connections to the site use encryption (HTTPS), so your data is protected while travelling to and from your device.
• Your receipts are stored in a secure cloud database, and every record is tied to your account. Other users cannot see your receipts, and you cannot see theirs.
• Your receipt photos are kept in private cloud storage and can only be opened by you while you are signed in. The photo links in your exported spreadsheet only work for you, logged into your own account.
• Sensitive keys and credentials are stored securely on our servers and are never sent to your browser.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers purely to run the app:

• Anthropic (Claude) — your receipt photo is sent to Anthropic's AI service to read the details from it. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models.
• Clerk — manages your login and account.
• Stripe — processes Pro subscription payments.
• Neon & Vercel — host the database, files, and the app itself.

How long we keep it

We keep your receipts for as long as your account is active, so they are available come tax time. Keeping receipts is also useful if you are ever audited. You can delete any receipt at any time, and you can ask us to delete your whole account.

Your choices

• Delete any individual receipt yourself from within the app.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it — just email the address below.
