Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and EzyReceipts ("EzyReceipts", "we", "us") and cover your use of the EzyReceipts website and app at ezyreceipts.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What EzyReceipts does

EzyReceipts lets you photograph receipts, uses automated tools to read the details (such as vendor, date, total and GST), and helps you sort and export them as a spreadsheet. It is a record-keeping tool only.

2. Not tax or financial advice

EzyReceipts does not provide tax, accounting, or financial advice. The information the Service produces is to help you keep records — it is your responsibility to check that the details are correct and to meet your own tax obligations. We recommend you confirm your records and deductions with a registered tax agent or accountant.

3. Accuracy of automated reading

The details read from your receipts are generated automatically and may contain errors. Always review and correct the information before relying on it, and keep your original receipts. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on automatically extracted information.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate sign-up details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

• The Free plan lets you try the Service with a limited number of receipts.
• The Pro plan is a subscription of US$5 per month, billed in advance and automatically renewing each month until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we don't see or store your card details.
• New Pro subscriptions start with a 30-day free trial. You add a payment method to begin, but you are not charged during the trial. Your first payment is taken when the 30 days end, unless you cancel before then — and you can cancel anytime during the trial at no cost.
• You can cancel at any time. Your Pro features continue until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again after that.
• Prices may change in future; we'll give you notice before any change affects you. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful or fraudulent;
• upload content you don't have the right to upload;
• attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service; or
• resell or misuse the Service in a way that harms others.

7. Your data

Your receipts and the information in them belong to you. You give us permission to store and process that information only as needed to provide the Service. How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy & Security page. You can delete your receipts at any time, or ask us to delete your account.

8. Availability

We work hard to keep the Service running, but we provide it "as is" and can't guarantee it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. We may update, change or pause features from time to time.

9. Liability

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these terms removes those rights. To the extent the law allows, EzyReceipts is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose.

10. Ending your access

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to us.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we'll let you know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of Australia.
